Rolls-Royce With a Taxi Number Plate Stuns Bengaluru, Viral Video Sparks Curiosity
A Rolls-Royce with a yellow taxi number plate in Bengaluru goes viral. Here’s the truth behind the luxury cab that left the internet stunned.
Luxury cars are usually associated with five-star hotels, private garages, and billionaire owners. That is why a recent sight on Bengaluru’s roads left many commuters doing a double take. A viral video shows a shiny Rolls-Royce stopped at a traffic signal — but what truly surprised viewers was its yellow commercial number plate, typically reserved for taxis.
In the clip, the person recording the video can be heard expressing disbelief over the unusual combination. He questions how a car as expensive as a Rolls-Royce could be registered as a taxi and repeatedly comments on what he perceives as a contradiction between wealth, status, and commercial registration. The presence of a premium “VIP” number plate only added to the confusion, making the video spread rapidly across social media platforms.
Rolls-Royce Taxi Turns Heads in Bengaluru
As the video gained traction online, reactions poured in. While some users found the sight amusing, others were genuinely puzzled by the idea of a Rolls-Royce being used as a taxi. Many questioned whether such a luxury vehicle could realistically operate as a commercial cab.
The mystery was soon cleared up. The luxury car belongs to Siddheshwara Travels, a Bengaluru-based travel company that offers a Rolls-Royce Ghost as a premium taxi service. Designed for elite clientele, the luxury sedan can comfortably seat up to five passengers and comes equipped with top-tier features such as advanced air-conditioning with air-quality control, plush adjustable seating, a navigation system, high-performance engineering, and multiple airbags for passenger safety.
Luxury Comes at a Price
Unsurprisingly, the pricing reflects the exclusivity of the experience. An 8-hour package for up to 80 kilometres is priced at ₹59,999, while a 12-hour package covering 100 kilometres costs ₹93,999. For outstation travel, the company charges ₹600 per kilometre.
In addition, a driver allowance of ₹1,000 is applicable, with another ₹1,000 charged for extended hours. Any extra distance is billed at ₹600 per kilometre, and additional hours are charged at ₹6,000 per hour.
What initially appeared to be an oddity on Bengaluru’s streets has now turned into a fascinating example of how luxury and commercial services can coexist — even if it takes the internet by surprise.
