The 39th Surajkund International Atmanirbhar Crafts Mela 2026 has officially begun in Faridabad, Haryana, celebrating India’s craftsmanship and cultural heritage. Inaugurated by Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan, the event features hundreds of traditional handmade stalls, folk performances, and interactive workshops.
A highlight of this year’s mela is the “Mela Sathi App,” launched to enhance attendee experience through navigation assistance, event updates, and curated visitor guides accessible on smartphones.
The mela provides a platform for artisans from various Indian states and partner countries to display textiles, artworks, tribal crafts and cuisines, fostering cultural exchange and supporting the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission.
